The indoor air quality has been paid more and more attention by people. As an effective means to improve the indoor environment, the air purifier has gradually entered thousands of households. The deterioration of the outdoor environment, the epidemic situation of the COVID-19 and other factors make consumers’ demand for clean air delivery rate (CADR) of air purifiers increase year by year. High volume air purifiers are gradually used in various public places. This paper compares various test standards of air purifiers in China, the United States, Europe and other countries. It is found that only Chinese standards have supplemented the testing related to high air volume air purifiers, but there is still room for further research on CADR and suitable test chamber volume. In this study, the performance of high air volume air purifier is evaluated by using test chamber with different volumes. The volume of test chamber and the air volume of the air purifier are analysed from the aspects of effective data, the uniformity of pollutants in the chamber and the accuracy of the test results. The analysis results can provide a reference for the formulation of relevant test methods and standards.
